Greetings and Salutations

I’m Rachelle. I’m an American cartoonist and illustrator living in Amsterdam.

You may be surprised (or relieved) to hear that I don’t always look this fancy while I’m sitting down to draw. This image came from a photoshoot I did with Flow Magazine. My illustrative art project, Faces on the Ferry, was very popular at the time and brought me a heavy dose of media coverage and false eyelashes. I bartered with the photographer, giving her a sketch I made of her during the shoot in exchange for the use of this fantastic roll of glamour shots.

Unfortunately, I’m not always able to trade my art for essential services. That, dear reader, is where you come in.

I’ll be posting on this site monthly. The content includes:

  • webcomics (originals and republished)

  • shop talk

  • cataloging my journey as I develop my graphic novel

  • educational tutorials about comics and illustration

Upgrading to a paid subscription helps support me while I work on new projects and create educational content for a worldwide audience. It also helps support me in general.
